Desky's softwood desk tops are made from sustainably sourced and manufactured wood slabs. Our Rustic Pine and Red Cedar wood is sourced from America and our Acacia wood comes from Vietnam, both from responsibly managed forests. The wood is cut, sanded, and finished to create durable desk tops. Our commitment to sustainability ensures eco-friendly products that last.
Steel Reinforcements: Our Desky wooden desks have vertically inserted bars of reinforced steel beneath the tabletop, further strengthening our desks' already best-in-class strength, stability and thickness. This significant upgrade can also help to reduce wobbles and perhaps eliminate the possibility of warping. The quantity of reinforcements included on each tabletop varies by size, with more being added to longer table tops
Precision Slots: Desky is proactively avoiding even the tiniest risk of warpage with the help of precision cut slots, and our leading 1" desktop thickness. The slots are precisely cut gaps using CNC technology that are embedded to the underside of table surfaces. These spacers offer the desk adequate flexibility and space to expand and contract organically without putting other portions of the table top under stress.
Threaded Inserts: Desky Desktop Inserts are designed and placed on our desktops with precision engineering to ensure optimal longevity. These machined threads enable precise tabletop installation on the frame, as well as the ability to build and disassemble your Desky as needed. This will ensure that your tabletop lasts a lifetime.

No. The Desky Zero Fixed Office Desk is purely a fixed frame office desk. It is designed with the same great stability and aesthetics as our Desky Dual Desk minus the motors and electrics.
No, unfortunately our Softwood desktop range is only available in select sizes and a rectangular shape.

Yes, we offer this frame in 4 colours: white, matte black, space grey, and grey.
Our Softwood desktops are made from 100% Solid Wood and are built to last. The desktop is thicker than most desktops at 25mm and has metal support braces within the desktop itself to help prevent sagging under load or at longer lengths.
Solid wood desktops are very durable and will even harden over time. However, being a real wood they are still susceptible to scratches and dents but this is not always a bad thing as it can add to the character of the desktop over time! As part of the ageing process real wood will also get slightly lighter or darker with age.
Our Softwood desktops have a smooth finish and are coated with a durable polyurethane finish, except for the Rustic finish Softwood desktops that have a nitrocellulose stain finish. Rustic finish desktops keep the natural distressed surface of rustic wood.
Yes, our Softwood desktops come with pre-drilled holes for easy assembly of the desktop to your desk frame. You do not need a power drill or tools, simply just a Phillips head screwdriver and the included hex keys.
Yes, we offer the same desk frames that we use for all of our height adjustable sit stand desks as frames only so you can use an existing desktop. This is a great option for existing office spaces that have matching cabinetry and furniture. You can view our Sit Stand Desk Frames here.
We can cut and fit cable access holes with grommets/hole covers in the positions you require to allow easy cable access. Please contact us via the Contact page or email trade@desky.com.au directly so we can help organise for your desk. This may incur extra time to process your order.
We also have a range of cable management solutions in our Accessories section to organise and tidy cabling and provide a place to install under desk power solutions. We also have on desk power options to make your desk as functional as possible.
Assembly will take as little as 30 minutes and each Softwood desktop we supply comes with pre-drilled holes to make assembly as quick as possible without needing any power tools. You can do this by yourself but we do recommend having two people to turn the desk over when finished assembly.

Our M8 Caster Wheels are compatible with our Zero Office Desk Frame.
Keep in mind that adding wheels will increase the minimum sitting height to around 8cm. This may be quite uncomfortable so we recommend our dual-motor system that has a better height range.
