The Desky Quad monitor arm will fit any monitor that is compatible with 75mm or 100mm VESA mounts. The VESA mount supplied simply screws onto the back of compatible monitors and easily clips into the monitor arm so you can add or remove your monitor from the arm quickly and without tools.
The Desky Quad monitor arm will support monitors that weigh between 2-10kg. A gas spring mechanism in the arm works as an adjustable counterbalance to the weight of the monitor for fluid and easy height adjustment. The tension of the arm needs to be adjusted to suit the weight of your monitor.
To ensure full range of movement and the ability to position both monitors side by side the maximum monitor size we recommend is 27 inches. If you are wanting to position two or more monitors larger than 27 inches side by side we recommend using two of our Desky Single Monitor Arms.
If your monitor weighs more than 10kg, the arm and gas spring mechanism will not be able to support it. A monitor that is heavier than 10kg will cause the monitor arm to slowly fall to its lowest position regardless of any tension adjustments you make. Similarly, a monitor that is too light and less than 2kg will cause the monitor to rise upwards to the highest position.
If your monitor is within the weight range 2-10kg and will not stay in place once fitted to the monitor arm you will need to adjust the tension of the arm’s gas spring. This is an easy fix! Use the included hex key to adjust the tension control screw on the arm toward the ‘+’ sign to increase tension if your monitor is falling from its set position, or adjust toward the ‘-‘ sign on the arm to reduce tension if your monitor is rising from its set position.
The Desky Quad monitor arm can be fitted to your desktop using the included desk clamp or by drilling a hole in the desktop and using the bolt-through mount to secure the arm directly to the desktop.
Yes! This monitor arm can be used with any desk so long as the desktop thickness is between 10-80mm if using either the desk clamp for installation or 15-30mm for the bolt through desk installation.
If you have a VESA adapter for your iMac this monitor arm will work. If you do not have an iMac VESA adapter we do have the Desky iMac Monitor Arm that is specifically designed for iMacs.
Distance - as a general rule, the length of your arm is roughly the distance you want between your eyes and the monitor. This will mean you do not have to crane your neck forward and will help to avoid neck and eye strain.
The base of the monitor arm will not move if bolt-mounted to the desktop or if the clamp is tightened correctly. However, it is not possible to fix the position of the arms in place or stop movement around the joints of the arm if knocked. The monitor tilt adjustment can be tightened so that its position will not change if accidentally knocked.
